Preschool – 3 to 6 years of age

All children aged 3-6 years, attending the Armidale Montessori Preschool, are involved in learning through the Preschool program each day, irrespective of whether they are enrolled in our Preschool Scheme or our Long Day Care Scheme.

In order to provide the greatest flexibility for parents, our preschool offers enrolment under each of the funding streams allowed for within the early learning framework.

Enrolling your child under the Preschool arrangement may suit you if:

  • You don’t want your child to attend Preschool during school holidays;
  • You are not eligible for any government rebates (i.e. Child Care Subsidy);
  • You only want your child to attend Preschool from 8.00am to 3.30pm.

The current fee for enrolment through the Preschool stream at Armidale Montessori Preschool is $38 per day, with Health care card holders, Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders receiving a subsidised fee of $23 per day.

Enrolments under the Preschool Service are limited to a maximum of 15 spots per day:

  • Six 3-year old spots
  • Nine 4+ year old spots

Preschool fees are payable for the weeks of the NSW school terms, a total of 40-41 weeks a year. Fees are invoiced per term and are due at the start of each Term. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, you can speak to the Director to organise a suitable payment arrangement.

If you are unsure which model (the Preschool or Long Day care) would work best for your family, feel free to contact our Director for a confidential conversation about your options.

After School Care

If your family would prefer your child to attend Preschool for longer hours each day, Armidale Montessori offers after school care to provide further flexibility to families.
