National Quality Framework

The National Quality Framework is an agreement between all Australian governments, federal and state, to work together to create better quality Childcare and Preschools in Australia. The framework applies to most long daycare, family daycare, outside school hours care and preschool/kindergarten.

The National Quality Framework introduces new national standards for these services, including the National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework for Australia. Essentially these documents outline extensive guidelines for best practice in early childhood education in Australia, and services are externally rated over seven quality areas and given a general overall rating.

Montessori education in Australia sits very comfortably within the requirements of the NQS and the EYLF. Armidale Montessori Preschool has been assessed as part of the process, and has performed well across all seven quality areas. Please click on images below for more information.
